Getting Started with Rocket Rush
Ready to compete in Rocket Rush? This guide will walk you through the complete registration process, from forming your team to checking in on tournament day.
Before You Register
What You'll Need
- A Team: Two teammates for 3v3 (or register as a free agent)
- Start.gg Account: Free account on start.gg
- Discord Account: Required for tournament communication
- Rocket League: Any platform (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch)
Finding Teammates
Don't have a team? No problem! Join our Discord server and use the #looking-for-team channel to find players. Many successful Rocket Rush teams have formed through our community matchmaking.
Step-by-Step Registration
Step 1: Visit the Tournament Page
Go to start.gg and search for "Rocket Rush" or visit our direct tournament link shared in Discord and on our website.
Step 2: Create or Log Into Start.gg
If you don't have a Start.gg account, creating one is free and takes about 2 minutes. You'll need a valid email address.
Step 3: Register Your Team
- Click "Register" on the tournament page
- Select "Create a Team" or "Join Existing Team"
- Enter your team name
- Invite your teammates via their Start.gg usernames or email
- Confirm your registration
Step 4: Join the Discord Server
Our Discord server is mandatory for tournament participation. This is where you'll:
- Check in before the tournament
- Receive bracket updates
- Report match results
- Get support from admins if issues arise
Step 5: Check In on Tournament Day
Check-in opens 30 minutes before the tournament start time. You must check in through Start.gg to confirm your team is ready to play. Teams that don't check in are removed from the bracket.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an entry fee?
No! Rocket Rush is completely free to enter.
What ranks can play?
All ranks are welcome. We've had everyone from Platinum players to SSLs compete.
Can I play on console?
Yes! Crossplay is enabled. PC and all console platforms can compete together.
What if my teammate can't make it?
You can substitute a player before check-in closes. Contact an admin in Discord for help.
How do I report match results?
The winning team reports the score on Start.gg. We also have a results channel in Discord for confirmation.
